Tiny note, some characters here might not have much to settle with… So, let's break down the whole origin of this diner…. pretty simple amirite This all came from the result of taking everything from someone that had a dream of a honest burger shop that he thought would impact the world, his name is Clarence Grindle. This dream of his? It never survived, never saw the light of success. His business was stolen, his name dragged through filth. His reputation was destroyed, his family was killed. Now, how did this business even fail? Simple. The suppliers bled his business dry, customers laughed at his food, and he most likely didn't have anything to owe. So, he rebuilt his dream differently. In a way that tainted his name forever. He turned to the only thing that was willing to help build the foundation to his business, The Black Market. Together they made a plan. They hired the poor, vulnerable, the filthiest people that were willing to work as long as they owed them a massive amount of money and they gave them one goal: Make 1 Million Dollars and they'll be set free. But, behind that promise was a system that consumed failure mercilessly. Clarence was not forgiving, workers that perished before fulfilling the goal weren't wasted, they became another batch of the meat the business supplied. The meat they butchered and ground up? It didn't belong to animals. They were unique, special, and their flavor met the customer's satisfaction. It was no other than human meat. And that's what made the business not just survive, but climb up to absolute success. With the blood of every worker that was fed to the grinder and the customers slaughtered. It mattered not if the souls were of the innocent or wicked. They were merely another batch of fresh meat.

EMPLOYEE LORE.

Why'd they come here? And how did they even get here in the first place? Well…uh Basically Clarence Grindle was seeing a significant decrease in their profit, due to the constant deaths of previous employees. They had dozens of unused meat supplies from how frequently the previous employees were dying. Clarence didn't form a plan this time, it built itself. Failure was rampant at this time and he was met with countless potential employees that could benefit his business.

EMPLOYEE 1, HATSUNE MIKU.

His first hire was Miku, a retired TV star with not many job opportunities besides a “McDonalds” she signed up for. The filming company Miku worked for went bankrupt due to the show losing traction despite how much they funded to push back interest in the show. He found particular interest in Miku because of her reputation and he specifically hired a hacker to screw up her GPS. Somehow Miku thought it was a good idea to drive to an abandoned building where she encountered Clarence there, Miku was persuaded to consent to the job and then sent off to the van. There Clarence Grindle told Miku about the million dollar payout, convincing enough for her…maybe. Clarence did talso mention how she was one of the chosen ones for the job and, well. the meat. Oddly enough, Miku didn't consider thinking twice about choosing this as her job. It's too late now. Once she arrived at the burger joint for the first time, Clarence Grindle taught Miku about the basics of making a burger, serving, and everything important about the job. After doing so, Clarence Grindle passes a plastic bag with her uniform inside, requesting her to change into it. He then decides to watch Miku as she does her job for the first day, before leaving the diner. While training, Miku realizes she’s quite good at managing funds, and soon then she refers to herself as the financial manager. The first 2 days in her job went surprisingly well despite being the only employee, manageable amount of customers to start off. She was only armed with merely a metal bat that felt a bit heavy on her arms to fight off whatever was coming aside from filthy thieves. What she didn't know is that police officers were coming her way the third night, that ambush at least got her shot 2 times but she did surprisingly manage to kill them all with her metal bat, bit scary amirite. The clear problem here is that there's no medkits or bandages stocked up in the diner’s storage, they're mostly in the black market! But like usual, the van arrives around 11pm but this time they escort a new hire—already?? well. yeah. But we have more important priorities here! This said new hire found Miku in the kitchen bleeding out, and with not much to help (at the moment) she tosses Miku an old t-shirt to bleed on and makes a quick visit to the black market, giving the medic a good excuse to hand her some bandages over without pay. Miku’s then properly patched up by the new hire. … “ Ahaha.. name's Yi Xi. Nice to see you again, Hatsune Miku. “

EMPLOYEE 2, YI XI.

So, this is Clarence's second hire in this batch, notoriously known for being the criminal whose face is in every poster. Yet the ones that finally get to see her face never get to see tomorrow. Law enforcement couldn't catch her by the shirt, not even when obvious clues were presented to them. They interrogated her apparent friend group, acquaintances, anyone that they're sure that Yi Xi has interacted with. And with the focus on her putting her friends at risk, she was then cut off completely. She mostly had no money to her name so she first attempted to gain some profit by opening a humble Butcher Shop undercover which was quickly acknowledged and tracked by cops to be raided and ransacked. Yi Xi was vigilant enough to spot suspicious activity near her butcher shop and she immediately took the queue to book it and hide away in filthy, abandoned places. Her reputation alone seemed to gather Clarence Grindle’s interest for another potential hire. They tracked her down constantly and anticipated for the right moment to recruit her, and this was it. The familiar swerve of the Van arriving to the exact area Yi Xi resided in arrived. Clarence and two workers from the black market presented themselves and offered Yi Xi a job opportunity, persuading her with all the benefits they could possibly offer. One was high profit from them, and the other was the practices that came to meat. Yi Xi took on the offer and they led her to the van with her uniform already prepared in her seat. The drive was a long way, at least because they drove all the way to a specific abandoned place to escort Yi Xi but they did arrive at the diner and it is already explained what happened once she arrived! yeah. Either way, a few days into her job Yi Xi was called in by Clarence to sign a contract, at least to seal the deal they had with both employees. Somewhere in the van. The contract was self explanatory, Yi Xi quickly skimmed through and stopped at what she thought was everything summarized and signed it. But what she didn't read was that she had to be a full time mechanic(something?? yeah she had to fix and build things), and that was final. Yi Xi wasn't aware until Miku pointed that out when she was called to fix the grinder. From there she had to rely on whatever knowledge she had related to fixing things and the manuals that came in a file. From there everything at least went decently, but the two did notice that they can be efficient and resourceful with their weapons! simple, strategies that keep them off the battlefield unless absolutely necessary. Yi Xi was particularly impressive at formulating strategies and the introduction of automatic turrets the black market supplied them with further put her skills to show. Other than that she dealt with more general inconveniences and pretty much dealt with extra paperwork Miku was meant to do mostly! Their performance did get both her and Miku to be promoted to manager officially! good for them! At least in general.

EMPLOYEE 3 / Eleanor Forte

Eleanor was just a sweet girl who work as weathergirl she live a casual life and have a good friend gumi (even tho she eat her flower garden like alot) but thing changed suddenly when she got fired she was shocked and confused she have no other choice than quit the job. She returned to her home full of sadness and worried about how she gonna deal with her rent and other stuff. She searching for alot of job then finally a cafe accept her then worked there for a few weeks but the manager is very bad and quit the job and swear she will NEVER come back again (and will burn it) After while she found a bar and with some saved money left she just give it a shot as she no longer care for anything. Drink after drink she getting drunk someone bumped on her and her hat fell and revealing her tall bunny ear. As ppl see her a hybrid type of human (ppl don't like them) they start to bully her she got beated at first but as the person who dont have anything to lost she started to beat them all one by one and as a bunny hybrid she can throw the fist fast as twice than a normal human police are here but they dont give a fuck instead they help the normal human she just beat the police and steal their gun start to mass shooting. (started hating the cops from there probably! not to mention police brutality she faces on a constant daily basis but I'm not sure how to add it here) Hours pass by a black van suddenly come and start to mass shooting again ppl start falling but her is standing still without a question ppl in the van just kidnap her and tied her but instead of torture or do bad thing they just offer her a deal “would you like do work a simple job but receive alot of money?” she just accept it as she a broke ass (gumi will miss her). After she agree they give clothes to her and ask her to pick a weapon (as there like minigun, bat,etc) black market member think she will choose small and light weapon but nope she pick the goddamn minigun the weapon that not much people can use. When arrive at the burger place she just work casually think it just a normal place but nope the moment she see other employee kill customer and use them for grinder she shock and surprise at same times but then she just act that just a normal thing Thing are fine but at random night the police start to raid them there no escape so only 1 way left is to kill them all she grab the minigun pull the trigger and watch as bullet fly tearing police one by one. Days pass more raid coming she start to hate the police more as they are a big waste of time and energy

EMPLOYEE 4, Hayden

Hayden, Grindle’s fourth “hire”. He drew Clarence’s attention by ending up on the news for allegedly murdering a police officer by biting them. A guard dog would likely come in handy. On his way to his tiny apartment from his low paying job, Hayden came upon two police officers arguing in an alley, blocking his way. Not wanting to get involved, he waited nearby, waiting for their argument to cool down and let him through. Their argument did not, in fact, cool down. The shouting grew louder, more aggressive. Words turned to shoves, shoves turned to punches. The situation escalated more and more until one of the officers picked up a broken glass bottle and shoved it into their partner’s throat, spilling blood onto the pavement, and onto Hayden, who was dozing off nearby (they were taking a while I guess). In their panic, the cop quickly made a commotion, shouting and screaming at Hayden, slapping handcuffs on him and making a scene to shift the blame onto him. Hayden was quickly arrested and sentenced to jail, despite the lack of evidence. The wound was vaguely circular, so it could look like a bite mark if you squinted at it and was also several hundred metres away and also blind. But shoddy evidence like this was enough of an excuse to lock up a mutt. He probably was a useless criminal piece of trash anyway. Hayden was severely mistreated by his fellow inmates and the guards while in prison, beaten and having his belongings stolen often. He learned to become quiet, not speaking unless spoken to, settling for being useful, rather than being liked. He was slowly whittled down from a thoughtful, friendly and slightly sarcastic guy to a quiet husk, terrified of being deemed ‘not useful enough’. After eventually being released, he became homeless for a few weeks, living on the streets, digging through trash for food, begging, etc. On a cold, rainy November night, an unmarked black van drove up to Hayden, sleeping lightly with only a soaked blanket covering him. Grindle’s goons pick him up and throw him in the van, waking him up in the process. He was very panicked, but froze up in fear instead of resisting.One of the kidnappers roughly explained the job to Hayden, but he barely heard it, hardly listening over his panic. But it was a job that paid, fed him and gave him a place to sleep. And so, he signed the contract. He didn’t have much of a choice, but it was better than being on the streets, probably. .
